Malachy C. Ejimofor is a highly dependable and committed Medical Radiographer with an extensive career spanning academic, clinical, and administrative sectors. As a registered and licensed professional, he has built a reputation for excellence through his adherence to professional ethics, meticulous attention to detail, and a leadership style rooted in systems thinking and collaborative growth. Currently, Malachy serves as the Head of the Nigerian Institute of Radiographers, a role he has held since 2015. In this capacity, he is instrumental in shaping the future of the profession by developing annual training programs, coordinating postgraduate certificate and diploma courses, and overseeing accreditation for universities and colleges of health technology. His work involves significant interagency collaboration, including liaising with international regulatory bodies such as HCPC, WES, and CORU to ensure global standards for certificate verification and radiography training. His academic contributions are equally significant. Since November 2024, he has served as a Part-Time Lecturer at Baze University in Abuja within the Department of Radiography and Radiation Sciences. Here, he mentors undergraduate students through teaching, examination management, and project supervision. This role complements his long-standing work as a resource person and tutor for postgraduate training courses at the Nigerian Institute of Radiographers. Malachy’s clinical expertise is grounded in over a decade of specialized service. From 2013 to 2023, he was a Visiting Specialist Sonographer at NISA Premier Hospital, where he focused on high-level obstetric and gynecological ultrasound, including anomaly scans and fetal Doppler studies. Earlier in his career, he held pivotal roles at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital and New Hope Hospital, where he led teams in complex radiographic examinations and was a pioneer in operating CT scan technology in the Anambra region. Beyond his technical and educational roles, Malachy has been a key figure in the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN). He has managed monitoring and enforcement activities, led liaison offices, and represented the Registrar in official capacities across the country. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to knowledge transfer, quality assurance, and patient-centered care, consistently exuding the leadership and mentorship skills necessary to drive organizational goals forward. Lastly, Malachy is currently a research Fellow with the E-Health4Everyone ( a subsidiary of Federal Ministry Health) focusing on Health Data Analytics and Triangulation.
